I just registered my copy of mp3 observer. It is a well designed program and just what I am looking for to take the management of my mp3 away from musicmatch. I have tried many others helium, mp3collector, explorer and they all have severe downfalls like bad user interface or flaky operation, so I am hoping this is it.

Nice, easy to learn and use interface. Scans computer for music files relatively quickly. I made mistake of scanning for all audio files on computer and got a bunch of the windows sounds but easily remedied by choosing directories to scan

I'm amazed the product is free. Does exactly what it says it will. Forget the post that says it's difficult to figure out...I figured it out in about 10 seconds just from looking and snooping around. It's free and works on all Windows OS's. I can tell you for XP..it's a beauty! Download it.

If you're looking for a way to organize your music files, look no further. I was tired of dealing with the windows media player library and I hadn't found anything else that organized my music in a way that made sense. I searched around and found MP3 Observer. I was not disappointed. This is a great database and it's pretty powerful. It has a simple interface, not flashy, but practical. It has support for a third party player, cd ripper, and mp3 encoder/decoder. This lets me easily integrate Sonique (the best media player ever) and Easy CD-DA Extractor (an awesome encoder/decoder among other features). These three programs will fulfill the needs of almost every mp3 enthusiast

I can't say enough good things about this program. I've got a HUGE collection of Mp3's that WAS very unorganized. After using Mp3 Observer not only was I able to sort through my collection and eliminate the doubles of songs that I had, but I was also able to update the ID3 tags as well. The program allows you to search through your Mp3 collection within a WIDE variety of search topics. It even allows you to assign a picture to a given file. I emailed the developers about a few questions I had and got a detailed response within 24 hours. What more can you ask from a FREE program? They've even got a great website, www.mp3observer.com

"Very Nice and Easy with nice features."
Needing a quick way to edit MP3 Tags I came hunting for a free editor - and found this. And very nice it is too. Only a few of the MP3's couldnt be renamed quickly - and out the hundresd I have thats good. Easy to use and Install.
